Near my house, an old train tunnel is being converted to a bike tunnel, for cycling commuters. I can't wait till the first evening when the straggling commuters are biking through the dark tunnel at dusk and the bats are fluthering out. "Arrrgh! Eeek! Screech!" [Crash] "I've got bats in my hair!"
Of course the bats will quickly migrate somewhere else quiet and dark.
They may not move. Here in Central Texas we have a huge urban bat population. Many of the bridges that have bike and pedestrian traffic all day long and into the evening have huge Mexican free tail bat colonies living in them. They fly out in the evenings no matter how many people are there. And they draw a crowd! Bats are awesome!
