Hmm this could well be that Tiger place in Thailand that looked like a wonderful sanctuary but when investigated they found tigers being treated badly and when cubs were brought in via being found after their mother being shot for the chinese market, any old adults at the 'sanctuary' were sold to the poachers...These so called Buddhist monks wont be coming back as anything good.
It's the oddest thing. My partner and I walked a tiger last week (Dreamworld, in Queensland, Australia) - not cheap, but they use it partly as a way of funding conservation efforts and we got to take a freaking tiger for its morning walk. But getting to the point...
As casual as I'm inclined to be with big kitties, and as much fun as we have dragging our Siamese around by their tails, we both balked when the photographer told us to hold that tiger's tail. They don't sedate the cats at Dreamworld, and I like having my limbs attached just where they are. Turns out it's OK with that, but we still weren't going to push our luck further by dragging 180Kg of striped gnu-killer backwards.

"Catch a tiger by the toe."
Although I think I know who'll be hollering...
