Tumblr supports Disqus forums. You can enable it in your blog preferences.

Yeah, Tumblr sucks for comments. Even with Disqus, I never bloody ever get any kind of comments and discussions going compared to what I get on LJ even now. I know LJ is dying and all, but while Tumblr is great for finding images, it's almost more of a popularity contest for who can get the most reblogs, where people take each other's pictures without talking about them or to one another. It's no substitute when it comes to fostering a community of readers to discuss posts.

I never quite understood the Tumblr comment functions. Looking at Tumblr from the outsides it seems that every share has equal weight to a comment and therefore people share instead of commenting. I don't think I've ever seen a comment on Tumblr even (which might of course be because I created my opinion and then never went back to question it. :))

I can't leave you comments on Tumblr. There is no "reply" option that appears with your posts, so I can do no commenting. Tumblr doesn't allow commenting by default for the first 2 weeks anyway, and you haven't overriden this with Disqus. :(

You have to be following someone for two weeks before you're allowed to comment. This waiting period can be overridden if Disqus is installed.

Weird. I use disqus. I wonder why so many are able to comment but not you.
